Symptoms
The following symptoms are commonly found once the Aortic Stenosis reaches a critical level: Patients may have had murmurs for a decade or more before symptoms occur.

-         Dyspnea on exertion
(Caused by elevated left atrial pressure, following left ventricular hypertrophy)

-         Chest Pain (Angina )
( Hypertrophied left ventricle causes elevated oxygen demands. Even with normal coronary arteries, sufficient amounts of oxygen may not be delivered)

-         Syncope on exertion
(Syncope may occur as a result of insufficient amount of blood flow through the stenotic valve)
